Barbara Lynum

Barbara has always been interested in art, but never pursued it professionally.  She obtained a two-year degree in commercial art in 1976.  Soon afterwards, she got married and raised a family with her husband, Larry.  Just before her 50th birthday, she decided to sign up for a beginner pottery class at the Kirkland Art Center.  After two-and-a-half years of classes, she decided to purchase her own kiln and potter’s wheel and used a spare bedroom in the basement as her studio.  After lots of experimenting with different surface decoration techniques, she entered two pottery pieces in the 2010 Edmonds Art Festival.  To her amazement her larger piece won first place in the category of Artisans Works. Over the years, Barbara has accumulated more pieces than she has room for, and has decided it's time to share her efforts with others. Cole Gallery is delighted to represent Barbara's beautiful and unique work.
